The Norton and LifeLock Brands are part of NortonLifeLock Inc. They said they would escelate my issue and then call me back, but that never happened. Rename or move, but please don't delete, you don't really know what people have set up that might depend on those files, even if you 'think' they will be regenerated.ДЄlso, I never got a call back from the Tech Support. So I didn't have to spend hours with the tech support person logged into my machine only to frustrate the support person.ДЄlso, a quick note to the tech support staff. It would be nice if it were easy to find the standalone updaters on the site someplace. I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but I also hope it fixes the issues with it crashing/timing out when doing File Backups with lots of files.

The issue seems to be that the updater is expecting a folder from the initial install to be in the %temp% directory. I was able to finally solve the update issue, once I got a copy of the standalone installer. People said to uninstall, run the Norton Remover,reinstall, and do a live update immediately.ДЄ quick note on that, the removal tool, after I run it. Then it tries to 'fix' the install and asks for the CD, which I don't have since this is a downloaded version. Then I get Fatal Error During Installation. And as I'm sure you can guess, it broke my installation. So, I went to the menu and hit live update. I seemed to have come across the bug where the backup stops at 1%, and it seems that this has been resolved in the latested update.
